Winter Blues
Art and music are a blessing during winter months where I live. As an outdoors enthusiast, the cold, dark and damp weather provides me with the chance to spend time in my art studio. I light a scented candle, play music and start a new art project. The process of drawing, setting up the studio, painting, takes time, something I wouldn't have in warmer months. Winter allows me to avoid feeling guilty for not working on outdoor tasks like gardening or cleaning the garage. Take advantage of winter and find a project to keep you busy. For me, it's art. Time flies as I immerse myself in my work and before I know it, spring arrives.
